A backup of the main MAP Resources website is created every 2 months. The backup files can be found at the bottom of this message. The MAP Resources Blog is not currently included in backups.
Click "Download" next to the most recent month listed
Open your file manager and select the downloaded zip file
Right-click and extract the zip file's contents into a new folder
Open the new folder and double-click the index.html file
You can now navigate the site normally
On shared computers, delete the zip file and new folder after use
Privacy
No data is shared with MAP Resources when you use the backup files. However, your device will download certain assets (such as fonts) from Google unless you disable internet while loading each page. Some links in the backups may also go through Google redirects. This isn't a risk for most users, but we recommend right-clicking and copying link addresses to Tor if you need additional protection. Backup files may show up in your browser history.
Security
We provide PGP-signed messages to verify the contents of backups. These can be found in the file titled "Signature.txt" in each backup. Our public PGP key can be found here. We use randomized passwords and two-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized changes.
Restrictions
If you plan to publicly post anything that uses the backup files, you must review and abide by certain restrictions.
